LEGENDS of the game will be out in force at the Central Coast branch of the Men of League golf-bowls fund-raiser at Everglades Country Club on Monday.
Peter Sterling, Noel Kelly, Royce Ayliffe, Greg Florimo, Tony Brown, Don Parish, Mark Geyer, Laurie Fagan, Steve McKenzie, Peter Louis, Jock Morris and John Peard will attend the function which will raise funds for needy former players.
Jim Robinson, of Woy Woy, the local president of the Men of League organisation, said some of the funds raised would also support the Donnica Clarke Foundation which aids young local sports people.
"Our race day in August was a great success and I'm sure the golf-bowls day will be equally as good," Mr Robinson, a former Woy Woy first grade prop, said.
He said the public is invited to attend the charity day and meet some of the former league stars who will attend an entertainment afternoon hosted by John Peard after the golf.
Bush poet Peter Mace will also recite some of his poems.
The group's secretary Ken Hey said Men of League was expanding its activities on the Central Coast and he would be glad to talk to anyone interested in joining the group.
